Nowadays, you have many options when it comes to looking younger. At Cincinnati Plastic Surgery, we have different ways to help our patients look younger. Whether it’s with our dermal fillers or any of our surgical procedures, we can help you put your best self forward in 2021. One of the procedures we have at the practice that helps people looking younger is a facelift. Many people have considered facelifts but aren’t sure if they’re too young or too old for a facelift. Over time, Dr. Martin has performed many facelift procedures on people of all ages. Here, we’ll discuss the right age for a facelift.
Why You Need a Facelift
People need a facelift for a variety of reasons. Some of the more common reasons for a facelift may be loose or sagging skin, loss of facial volume, or an unsatisfactory change to your face.
In general, there’s no right or wrong age for a facelift. However, there are certain ages that adapt better to a facelift than others. If you’re in your 20s or 30s, you shouldn’t need a facelift just yet. If you’re worried about the appearance of your face, try laser re-surfacing and IPL treatments or any of our dermal fillers.
Need For Additional Surgeries
With a facelift, the results are long lasting. However, they typically aren’t permanent. Many people need smaller, less extensive facelifts as they continue to age in order to keep the results. But, it all just depends on when you had your first surgery. If you have your facelift in your 40s, you have the best chance of prolonging the results and not needing a secondary for a longer period of time. As you age, the closer together you’ll have to have follow up facelift surgeries. Remember, facelift results last years, so it would be a long time before you need the secondary facelift.
Combined With Other Procedures
Sometimes, facelift patients just want a facelift procedure. Other times, they want to combine their facelift with other facial plastic surgery procedures, like an eyelift or a brow lift, for a complete refresh on their face. At Cincinnati Plastic Surgery, we can combine some of our face plastic surgery procedures in order to give a complete facial rejuvenation. However, if you’d rather have the procedures performed separately, we can also do that. We want to make you as comfortable as possible when it comes to your facial plastic surgery needs.
Just like any of the other procedures at the office, there’s plenty of people who can benefit from a facelift. If you’re looking for a way to look younger for a longer period of time, a facelift can do that. Overall, there’s no right age for a facelift. Dr. Martin has performed hundreds of facelifts since starting Cincinnati Plastic Surgery. In addition to being a skilled facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Martin is skilled at the mommy makeover and Brazilian butt lift.
